Happy 10 years of Topeira. Today marks 10 years since Coach Joaquin started TBC in his garage in Westwood and we are his legacy. Every person that walks in the gym, fights for the gym, and becomes part of the family is all a result of what Joaquin started on his own. We carry the flame to continue to be a beacon for the community and anyone who wants to fall in love with the sweet science for their own personal reason. 10 years and many more to come. We are truly proud of our 5 @haymakers4hope fighte

We are truly proud of our 5 @haymakers4hope fighters who all competed last night and represented Topeira with grit, heart and dedication! They helped raise a lot of money in the fight against cancer and spent the past four months with little to zero experience in boxing let alone fighting, amongst our fight team and endured everything and stepped into the ring fearlessly last night! Congrats to all of them and to our coaching team who upheld the ideals that Joaquin taught and expected of his coaches. Till next time, the green team is back in the lab and as always, we up, we workin! ⚡️⚡️⚡️

We’re one day away from our 5th time being a par

We’re one day away from our 5th time being a part of the annual @haymakers4hope benefit for the fight against cancer. Each one of these 5 fighters has been putting in so much work. They’ve experienced all of the emotions that it takes to fight from the good and hard. They shed tears, smiles and their own blood for this. Boxing is an ebb and flow of peaks and valleys and plateaus that you have to be humble enough to accept and love. They jumped into the mix with our fight team and showed all the grit and heart. Tomorrow they put it all out there. Win or learn we are beyond proud of them for showing up and putting in the work. For those who will be there; know that you’re only seeing the tip of the iceberg of each of them. Like the GOAT himself said: “The fight is won or lost far away from witnesses - behind the lines, in the gym, and out there on the road, long before I dance under those lights.”- Muhammad Ali

Got the unanimous victory on Friday and learned a lot from a split decision last night. Either way, in victory and defeat we hold our heads up as champions, like coach Joaquin would tell us. We couldn’t be more proud of Laura for 1) traveling to another country to fight and representing Topeira with class, grace and grit 2) fighting two nights in a row 3) never cowering in the face of very tough opponents and adversity and the fatigue the body takes doing this. Thank you to our opponents for giving us work and thank you to @westcoastwonderwomenplus for working so vehemently towards uplifting and giving women’s boxing a better foothold in this world and for being about inclusivity for all people who want to be a part of this sport. Golden Gloves 2023 is over and we are beyond proud

Golden Gloves 2023 is over and we are beyond proud of all of our fighters who trained hard and gave their all in the ring this week! Congratulations to our novice champions: Braeden Fried 139lb novice champion, Alex Sadeghi 156lb novice champion and Laura Roberts 178lb women’s novice champion! Some victories and some learning experiences were had; either way, we go back to the gym and back to work to always progress and work to be better the way our coach taught us. Topeira showed out hard this year with the most fighters we’ve ever had and the most representation at the tournament. Our community is strong and as we continue to grow in our craft we will keep showing that we are a true force to not be taken lightly. We up, We Workin ⚡️⚡️⚡️
